
McCray’s headed to Super Bowl XLV
Derrick McCray, owner of McCray’s II Backyard Bar-B-Q will be taking his famous barbecue to Super Bowl XLV in Dallas, Texas. McCray’s II Backyard Bar-B-Q will be cooking for the NFL’s 11th Annual Player Networking Event at the Super Bowl at the Hyatt Regency Dallas on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 2pm until 6pm. McCray’s II Backyard Bar-B-Q will also be cooking for the NFL Alumni Weekend at the Old Red Museum February 3 – 5, 2011.
McCray’s II Backyard Bar-B-Q will be serving tender baby back ribs with McCray’s BBQ signature 禅wist’ barbecue sauce. In 2007 at Super Bowl XLI McCray’s II Backyard Bar-B-Qprepared 3,500 pounds of ribs and 1,500 pounds of beef brisket for NFL Tailgate Party. McCray’s Backyard Bar-B-Q was selected as the number one vendor at the NFL Tailgate Party in 2007.
McCray’s II Backyard Bar-B-Q catered the NFL Tailgate Party at Super Bowl XLIV and served Beef Brisket Biters, a mini beef sandwich made with tender smoked beef brisket topped with McCray’s Backyard Bar-B-Q signature “Twist” sauce, a blend of mild and sweet sauce, melted chipotle cheddar and served on a mini facasha roll.
In 2010 the South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee recognized McCray’s II Backyard Bar-B-Q as the exemplary business representing Palm Beach County participating in the Emerging Business Program. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission partnered with McCray’s Backyard Bar-B-Q to recruit volunteers and plan special events for the 2010 Super Bowl and Pro Bowl.
